FAQ
Questions people ask before they decide
How does this platform picker work?
It asks four questions: what you’re building, whether ease or flexibility matters more, how much custom functionality you need and who will look after the site. It then suggests Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Webflow or a custom build, with the reasoning and the main trade-off. Treat it as a starting point for the conversation, not a final answer.
Which platform is best for a small business website?
For a design-led marketing site that a non-technical team will update, Webflow or a well-built WordPress site usually fit best. For an online store, Shopify suits most small businesses because hosting and payment security are included. The right choice depends on what the site has to do in two or three years, not only at launch.
What if my needs don’t fit these options?
That’s common, and Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce and headless setups are all reasonable answers for some businesses. Use the suggestion as a starting point and tell us the details. We’ll give you a straight recommendation, even if it points to a platform we don’t build on.
