WordPress & Web Development Services

Most WordPress problems start the same way: a heavy theme, a long list of plugins and a page builder, until the site is slow, hard to update and something nobody wants to touch before a launch. We build WordPress sites on lean, custom code, with editing blocks designed around how your team actually publishes, from marketing sites to WooCommerce and headless WordPress. You own all of it, with documentation to match.

What this gives you

  • Pages built to meet Google’s Core Web Vitals thresholds, not patched afterward
  • Custom code you own outright, with no proprietary theme or agency lock-in
  • Editing blocks your marketing team can use without asking a developer

What’s included

The work we take responsibility for.

Custom blocks, not a page builder

We build the sections your team actually uses (hero, pricing table, case study, form) as custom blocks, so editors get flexibility without being able to break the layout.

Speed work that holds up

Lean templates, image optimization, caching and a CDN. We measure loading, responsiveness and layout stability on your real templates, not just the homepage.

WooCommerce and headless WordPress

WooCommerce when your store belongs alongside your content; headless WordPress with a Next.js or Astro front end when you need more speed or a custom experience. If headless isn’t worth the extra complexity for you, we’ll say so.

SEO and AI search foundations

Clean URLs, sitemaps, structured data and a clear heading hierarchy, so pages are easy to index for Google and easy to quote for AI search (answer engine optimization, or AEO).

Updates, backups and monitoring

Core and plugin updates checked before they go live, backups, uptime monitoring and security hardening, so the site keeps running without someone remembering to look after it.

Migrations without losing search traffic

Moving from Wix, Squarespace, HubSpot or an older build: we map every URL, set up redirects and check rankings after launch, so traffic isn’t lost to broken links.

Deliverables

What you keep when the work is done.

  • Custom, responsive website
  • Editable CMS and editor guide
  • Analytics and SEO setup
  • Speed report on key pages
  • Handover and team training

How we deliver

Human-led

Scope and design the system

A senior engineer works out the data model, the integrations and the build plan with you. These decisions shape everything after, so a person makes them.

AI-assisted

Build, with AI on the routine work

AI tools draft scaffolding, boilerplate and first-pass tests, so engineering hours go into the parts specific to your business.

Human-led

Review and harden

Engineers review the code, check security and own the quality of what ships. Nothing AI-drafted goes out unreviewed.

Both

Launch and keep improving

Production release with monitoring in place, then short cycles of changes based on how people actually use it.

FAQ

Common questions about Web & WordPress Development

How much do WordPress development services cost?

Most marketing sites fall in the low-to-mid four figures. WooCommerce stores and sites with custom integrations cost more. Send us your page list, integrations and any content that needs migrating, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote, usually within one business day.

Can I hire a dedicated WordPress developer monthly?

Yes. Many clients keep a developer on a monthly rate for new pages, campaign landing pages, updates and maintenance, so the same person who knows your site handles every change. You can start with a one-week trial.

Will my site be fast and good for SEO?

Speed and technical SEO are built in rather than added at the end: lean templates, optimized images, structured data and a clear page hierarchy. We test key templates against Core Web Vitals before launch. Rankings also depend on your content and your competition, so we won’t promise positions, but the build itself won’t be what holds you back.

Do I own the code?

Yes, completely. You get full admin and repository access and documentation for whoever works on the site next, whether that’s us, your own team or another agency.

What do you need from us?

One person who can approve design and content, your brand assets, and access to the current site, domain and hosting. For a migration we’ll also ask for Google Search Console access, so we can see which pages bring in traffic before we move anything.

Talk through what you need with someone technical.

Share a few details and an engineer will reply within one business day with clear next steps. If it looks like a fit, you can start with a one-week trial on real work.
