Is your AI-built app production-ready?
If you built it with Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0 or Cursor, it probably works. The question is whether it is ready for real customers, their data and their payments. Answer 12 questions for a letter grade and the gaps to close first. Your answers stay in your browser.

Are secret API keys kept on the server, with only publishable keys in browser code?
Is user input validated on the server, not just in forms?
Is login checked by the server, not just by hiding pages in the interface?
Are access rules enforced where the data lives (e.g. row-level security on every table)?
Is your data in a managed database with automatic backups you have tested?
Does the app handle errors without crashing or showing blank screens?
Do you have automated tests on the critical flows (sign-up, checkout, core actions)?
Is it on production hosting with your own domain, not only a preview link?
Can you see errors and usage in production (logging, error tracking, alerts)?
Would it hold up if usage grew 10× in a month?
Do you have a privacy notice and handle personal data lawfully (e.g. under UK or EU GDPR)?
Do you own the code and data, and can you export both?

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does “production-ready” mean for an AI-built app?
That you could put paying customers and their data on it without worrying: secret keys stay on the server, login and data access are enforced by the server, data sits in a backed-up database, errors are handled, and you can deploy changes and see problems as they happen. AI tools are good at the first version; these are the parts that usually need an engineer to check.
Is the scorecard free, and is my data sent anywhere?
It is free and needs no sign-up. Your answers are scored in your browser and are not sent to us. If you choose to leave your email in the separate box below, we receive that address and the name of this resource.
My score was low. What now?
A low score is common for a prototype and does not mean starting over. Most items are fixable, and the “fix these first” list shows where to begin. Security and data items come first, because those are the ones that hurt customers if they go wrong.
Can you fix these issues for us?
Yes, this is the core of our prototype to production work. Send us the app or repo and we will review it, tell you plainly what needs doing, and give you a plan and a fixed price. You can start with a one-week trial.
Would you rather have engineers close the gaps?
We take AI-built apps to production: security, data, payments, deployment and handover. Send us the app and we will tell you plainly what it needs.
